An Unusual Lyme Disease Treatment!

We don't all need to rush off to the lyme disease doctor every time we get bitten by a little tick or unknown bug, and just because our domestic pooches are often plagued by parasites doesn't mean they too are the next victims, although lyme disease in canine species does occur. At the time of writing I'm 58 years old and have been bitten by all sorts of insects and tiny parasites all my life, yet have never got sick through any of them, although my wife was not quite so lucky.

There is no single lyme disease symptom although a quite a common manifestation is the rash. But we get body rashes for all kinds of reasons so it's important not to treat every rash as a symptom of chronic lyme disease. Erythema, and chronicum migrans are some early symptoms but once again, assume nothing until you've had a correct prognosis. If you are one of the unlucky ones and do get infected, then there is plenty of professional help around focused at coping with lyme disease, either with conventional medicines, or via the many lyme disease alternative treatment therapies around, Enjoy this humerous article sent in by one of our readers:

Written by Jill Crute: When I decided to pick a few wild raspberries at the back end of our property, the words Lyme Disease treatment never entered my mind. Well, at least not until my neighbor hollered them out to me. At first, I wasn’t even sure if I heard him right.

“Excuse me?” I raised one eyebrow at him. “Did you say something about Lyme Disease treatment?”

He smirked at me in his wicked way. “I just said not to worry about the tics because I have the perfect Lyme Disease treatment.”

Tics! I just wanted to pick a few berries in my backyard. I wasn’t sure how picking berries had led to a discussion on Lyme Disease Treatment, but with my neighbor, I often find myself discussing all sorts of odd topics.

“Just what is this Lyme Disease Treatment?” I asked, not really sure that I wanted to know.

“Bees!” He chortled with glee.

“Bees?” My other eyebrow shot up. “As in the kind that gives us honey?” For the life of me, I couldn’t imagine what bees had to do with tics or how they could provide a Lyme Disease treatment. Did he want me to slather honey on any tic bite I might get?

He took off his hat and scratched his balding head. “I read in a magazine that a lot of folks are using this thing called bee sting therapy to cure their ailments. One fella picked up Lyme Disease from a tic bite when he was hunting and he tried the beestings as a Lyme Disease treatment and it cured him.”

“He let a bunch of bees sting him to cure a tick bite?” I shook my head at the irony.

“Yeah.” My neighbor laughed. “Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? But I figure that I have a bunch of bees in my hives and in a pinch, they could come in handy.”

“Well.” I tried not to shudder as I thought of my neighbor unleashing his hoard of bees on someone as a Lyme Disease treatment. “I guess that is good to know, but I am allergic to bees, so I guess if I get bit by a tic I will have to try a more conventional Lyme Disease treatment.”

“Suit yourself.” He shrugged and walked back toward his barn.

I shook my head and started to head to the berry bramble. Then I got a picture of those bees swarming around me in some alternative Lyme Disease Treatment and I thought better of the plan. I decided to let the birds have the berries this year.
